Would Trump stay on task for the up coming State of the union Speech?
As Trumps first State of the Union speech is approaching there are many worries that he will go off task. Due to his first year as president which he broke majority of the rules as president which consist of presidential communications and policymaking. If Trump sticks to what he is saying he is expected to ask congress for about 1 trillion dollars to rebuild roads and highways, airports and sewers. Do you think that is a good why to spend 1 trillion dollars on? Although These things are needed but I personally think spending 1 trillion dollars on highways, freeways, airports and sewers are a waste of money because that is minor compared to other things that need 1 trillion dollars to be spent on.Also During his speech he is going to talk about his plan about the immigration system while he grants 1.8 million people citizenship. Does this means that Trump and the Republican Party came to a firm agreement on Immigration? Do you think Trump will do more harm than good after hearing his expected actions? The state of the Union speech is a good step for Trump to right his wrongs he follows the traditional way of these speeches. As his first year as presidents proved that you can expect the unexpected from Trump while he is on TV, therefore it seems that trump already is being expected to say something outrageous which will cause more problems in the country. Overall this Speech is a make it or break it for Trumps presidency, would Trump be able to stay on task ?

ReplyDeleteI feel as if Trump is gonna mess up again although we may want him to change the way he acts or speaks he continues to disappoint. Trump could possibly see this as an opportunity to try to appeal to more people with his ideas of how he wants to change certain aspects of the government and this country. Asking for a trillion dollars to fix the minor “injuries” but won’t address the big problems correctly or sometimes neglect them completely which is unbelievably dumb. I do believe he’s gonna veer off the agenda or task and get backlash for it.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you, but I think Trump is planning something else due to the reason that he has left out numerous of topic that are a need to talk about topics I still feel that he is going to slip eventually but on what is the question.
DeleteI think that he will mess up because of his personality the way he defines who he is and isn't great if we see him as a nuisance then our leader. I also agree that asking for 1 trillion dollars for transportation is great and all but we should focus on other things like schools, jobs, and houses for people because if they don't have that they can't be helpful to the world. It'll like being bad and then trying to get what you want that not how things work and he should know that the things he says effects everyone.
ReplyDeletePresident Donald Trump has already won the election, so either way if he let's the citizens of America down through his hurtful speech or through his obnoxious demeanor he's still most likely to get done what has to be done. Many citizens of America hate Trump because of the way he holds himself and the way he represents America. I feel as if fixing America's roads and airports is a great idea ,but it isn't the biggest issue America has to deal with, it isn't the matter that needs the most adjustment because it's not going to ensure a better way of living for American citizens.
ReplyDeleteI believe he won't stay on task only relying on different topics to push his speech. Trump is a man who seems to not be able to stay on one topic for a long time only giving short statements. I believe he's going to rely on topics as immigration for the main part of his speech but that will be the heart of it will everything else is small and wont have a grand effect like immigration will.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I feel that he will mess up but not to the point that it will mess up his presidency. In one years time, he has donr despicable things and yet hasn't faced any reprecussions. As for the state union,he will mess up because he focuses on the wrong things. He focuses heavily things that make him look good like repairing roads. He also focuses to much on topics that don't need attention while disregards issies that need attention like gun violence or people with lost or broken homes.

DeleteTrump is known for saying crazy things so I don’t know if he would stay on task. However I do think he will try to sell us a dream. He will tell us what he plans to do and how it will make America great again. As far as immigration goes I’m not so sure how that’s going to go. He says he will grant people citizenship, but they’ve already started deporting people. Wanting to deport people and wanting to grant citizenship seems like two different desires so I’m not sure how they can come from the same person. And I definitely think 1 trillion dollars should be spent on something else like education. It should be spread evenly through things that need money.
