Lybian Slaves

Video footage of Lybians being sold off at auctions has surfaced and shocked the world. The leaders of Lybia, France, Germany, and Niger have come together and formed a plan to evacuate migrants from Lybia. One of the reasons Lybia is having this issue is because these auctioneers are taking advantage of the fact that Lybia is a main transit point for refugees trying to reach Europe.
It is ridiculous that in 2017 slavery is starting to arise. People are just trying to make it to a better place for better living conditions or job opportunities etc., and they’re being sold into slavery. Do you think this issue is getting the recognition it deserves? The U.S. tends to get involved with a lot of foreign affairs, but will they jump in this time to save these poor people?

  1. This issue is something that should be gettin recognized because these are people that can’t really help themselves and people should be able to know what’s going on not only in their community but also around the world. I don’t belive they will get involve in the situation because this isn’t necessarily in our jurisdiction and usually won’t apply to us in anyway unless something like this happened on U.S soil, I’m not saying that they shouldn’t do anything because these are still people in need who are just looking for a better life that everyone should be entitled to but the U.S government won’t get involved unless it hits us in a way that is negative to our economy or community in general.

  3. I don't feel like I'm well aware of what's going on behind the scenes yet right in front of our eyes as an American citizen. Trump did day we need to avoid foreign affairs if it's not strengthening our economy as a Nation. Educating American citizens with an incognito approach with such information through media is what America doesn't want because then you have people that actually notice how selfish America is when it comes to economic growth. The slavery in Libya not being widely spread through mass media and news channels just shows you how much the people in power care for their reputation as a race-white supremacy. It's unfair that my ancestors built this country with blood, guts, and tears and I still have to deal with white supremacy being that I am legally an American citizen. America should have never hid this from their people, because now when they find out, there's going to be chaos.

    1. I agree. There are many things that the government tries to hide from its citizens. This slave trade will definitely be swept under the rug eventually because nowadays people like the pretend racism doesn’t exist.

  4. The problem is Private companies rules and regulation need to be put in place for companies that are involved with human trafficking should be fined by the government. Private companies do this for cheap work because it cost to much to pay people in America because they have rights under the United States. This may not be the problem here but this is deeply related to it. In away I feel the United states is wrong and correct at the same time for this reason they are wrong because the United States acts as the world First Aid Kit so why would not they Act here? The are correct because America needs to start acting for themselves because There are at Least one million problems in America and has any of them have been solved?
