Haiti Prison Break

174 inmates escaped from prison in Haiti. Only a dozen has been captured so far. The police has asked the residents nearby to be cautious and to cooperate with them. But can the police protect the people of the community by doing more than talking to them? Will they do more than just talk to them? The residents that live nearby the prison break must not feel safe around their home anyway. One way I think the police can help the people be and feel safe is by doing constant walks around the community. That will not only make the people feel more safe but will also lead to the finding of the prisoners.

  1. What does this have to do with American government? Do you feel as though we should assist them in any way? If so what do you think the repercussions this could be?

  2. I disagree with Your solution, i believe there should be more action taken into this investigation. For an example the first question should be who and how they escaped to prevent more prison breaks. To prevent these prison breaks the prisons structure should be changed. Then policemen and women should be asking around instead of doing a search around neighborhoods, maybe even a neighborhood watch should be effective. This not only makes neighborhoods feel safer. However, i agree with tarif, what effect does this have on the U.S government? , should we be involved in this ? or should we focus on ourselves first ?

  3. i agree to an extent. yea the people will feel safe. but the officer patrolling the street won't. they have 162 enemy aiming for them. i'm pretty sure none of the want to go to back to prison and would do anything to prevent their recapture. i do believe that the people around must feel safe. they might help with police and civil en trust but still. i know i wouldn't feel safe until 174 prisoner are all caught.
