Snow Fall in NY
The seasons first snow storm is set to hit on Sunday. The same snow storm that has covered some parts of Minnesota in more than a foot of snow. This storm is supposed to end Monday morning but has been predicted to bring more than a foot of snow. How will the city prepare for this, is there a chance school will canceled? Or will public transportation run? The answers to these are key because within the answers are the key to a lot of peoples success in the following week. For example, if the public transportation is out and people don't have a way to get to work. Or if school is canceled and students are forced to miss out on their work. I personally don't believe the government has anything to do with what happens with the schools, it all depends on the districts and the city. This is a big misunderstanding that many people don't see that we look to the government to fix the issues when we have to go to our major, d.a's and other people that are in our community.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I am failing to realize the point of the post. Like what are you saying specifically if you could explain that to me. Is this a problem that connects back to the government in some way? I just don"t see if there's an issue that involves the government in from this post and just seems like a general statement about the weather.
ReplyDeleteI agree with this. I'm not really sure what the correlation is between the weather and the US government. The weather is something that occurs naturally that people can not really control
DeleteI agree with the point being made by Isaiah and Tarif. If there were to be snow this year or not would not be controlled by the government (unless you have an over exaggerated conspiracy theory). In terms of what the government should do these situation I believe it is more of a local government problem instead of federal. The reason behind this is because the amount and severity of snowfall varies state to state. So my question is are there mandates in place to handle situations of serve snow and if so should it be funded by the fender government or is it up to the States to find the money?

DeleteI think the government is more focused it the people saftey rather than their success as they should. Their lives are worth more than the extra 8 to 10 hours on their time sheet. That's just my opinion and I think the government should do what's best for the people's safety.

ReplyDeleteIt would be unfortunate for the people who rely on public transit to go to work and fortune for me cause it means no school. Either way I feel like this article has nothing to do with Government because they're not wizards and they don't control the weather.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with Kevin and everybody else. The government doesn't have control over the things that take place in the inner state. When something like a snow storm happens they call a state of emergency which is based on the state officials that are in charge.
