Donald Trump wants to join forces with Russia, even though they were hacking the democratic party. Putin admits to doing so, and he wasn't punished for doing so. The reason why Trump is with this, is because it helped him win the election. There are some people who disagree with this, for example South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham. He said "I can't imagine I would vote for anybody that believes that we should not sanction Russia, given the fact that they did in fact interfere in our election." This sort of thing can be interpreted as no good because this is a republican man that voted for Trump and he thinks that this is a bad idea. We cannot afford to go through anymore war. There is a lot that we would have to give up and there will be a lot of time wasted on it. I just hope that Trump knows what he's doing and i hope we don't have another cold war or a great depression or anything of that nature.

Relating back to your title I don't think this will necessarily cause a Cold War. The Cold "War" wasn't even a War really it was like a piss contest between the two governments. So Trump allying himself won't cause that to happen again but maybe being allies with Russia will cause us to be against others which could result in something bad.At this point I believe we can't do much except sit back and wait really. We elected him and he's our president now so we have to go along with the results of our election.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with with it causing another cold war because if we're allies why are we competing against eachother for technical advancement.I believe that being allies with Russia makes America look bad because not long ago communism was feared by many Americans.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this event will not hinder relationships with Russia, but it will make them stronger. While Russia did infiltrate and hack into American files, they did it to the weaker political party that has no power therefore there would not be any consequences. Instead of a cold war it is going to be a warm union because Donald Trump is fond of Russia's government and with only republicans in the House, Senate, judicial branch and in office who can really stop this bond
ReplyDeleteI would like to say that i believe they are using trump because if they went to the length to hack and mess with the election, there must be an interest in something, also i dont think it will escalate in another war but in a fake alliance that in the future may led to a lot of misunderstandings
ReplyDeleteSimilarly to everyone above, I don't believe this will have cause war in any way. In a sick, twisted way it might actually strengthen our alliance with places such as Russia, that have similar views as President elect Donald Trump. It seems as if his outlandish views are common ground in certain places outside of the United States and can be agreed upon with other leaders. Thats why I feel it can develop bonds in a way with some of these other countries.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I don't think this will lead to a war with Russia in the future. In retrospect it could gain us an Allie in the process. If anything being allied with Russia could cause us more problems in the future. This relationship between Putin and Trump is weak in my opinion because the only thing they really have in common is their dislike of President Obama. On the end I believe Trump is only setting America up for failure.
