With his last term coming to an end, with the end of an era only days away, shouldn't the leader of the free world enjoying and reminiscing about his years in office. Well in his last few days in office Obama is trying to ensure that his legacy is not tarnished by the new incoming president. There are still many unresolved problems left America to handle that Obama could not solve during his terms but we as a nation have made some progress to improving life for all citizens, and it would be a shame to see all of that hard work washed away in a matter of months. One of the major topics of discussion in the article is the cyber " controversy" over Russian meddling in the election this past November. It would be an understatement to say that the outcome of this past election was polarizing but the protest have been dying die(or at least is not getting as much attention) but if the Russian cyber network had some affect on the outcome it could cause a lot of problems for Trump in the future and how he deals with Russia. A major concern for Americans this since trumps election is his plans for Obamacare. Despite his comments on supporting some parts Obama wants to ensure that his reforms to our health care system, that has helped millions of Americans, is there to help future generations of Americans. In your opinion what do you believe will happen to the reforms Obama has made to our health care system and the social progress with equality and crime. Are there anything you believe that Obama did wrong and Trump can improve on. What do you see happening in the first year in office with President elect Trump.

What specifically is the main point of this article? Also what can we as citizens of the United States do to ensure that this next presidency will be a great one? How do we come together as a country and push for greatness.
ReplyDeleteI believe the main point is to think about the way trump will effect the U.s, also we should try to keep our eyes on the news to know what happens until its to late, for example whats happening now with putin not many people know that.
DeleteAs Kevin stated the central idea is the think about what will happen to the legacy that Obama has created once Trump enters office and what last minute plans can Obama implemente to ensure progress is continuing to be made in America.
DeleteI believe Trump's cabinet will make the difference between him being a laughing stalk of the U.S. or America's next best thing. They have the responsibility of making sure that Trump does not sink the ship (America) or hits an glaciers on the way to "making America great again". But in all honesty when he says that he then takes criticism from people saying America was never great. So now he must fulfill his promise to us by making America great. Some might think it's not possible and it's probably not but the least he can do is improve America like Obama did.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with you Jurelle. Donald Trumps sense of humor I feel is going to hold him back in his presidency and people are going to take him as a joke. Also I feel his cabinet isnt going to have a big factor of making him change or sound smart because they are just as ignorant as him . They clearly support his radical ideas and big him up for most of the things he says. Do you think he can get more accomplished then our current president ? I believe he could get more things done then Obama has ever got done because of the Republicans having The house and senate.
DeleteIn your Opinion Kenigh does it make Trump a bad President if he is not serious. One of Obama's redeeming qualities was that he was a likeable and funny president. Also even if Trump is a Republican and the house and Senate is being controlled by the same party does it necessarily mean that they will go along with his radical ideas.
DeleteI believe trump didnt really look out for the minorities but he also helped a lot of people with the Obama car. The first year that Trump is in office, obama's plans will finish being established. Trump can improve the Health care policy by trying to give more money or open it up to more people.
ReplyDeleteTrump is kind of unpredictable sometimes so we don't really know what to expect. With the Obama thing, I don't know if he did good or bad, but i feel like Trump would improve it because he has the money to do it.
