McCain, Battling Brain Cancer, Leaves Washington For Christmas Break Before Contentious Vote On Tax Bill

In summy, on a Sunday John McCain went to Arizona to spent christmas with his family and is battling brain cancer ,which stops the Republican party on voting which they somewhat needs the senator vote but couldn't vote due to his surgery. So Trump told reporters that even through McCain is going through a really tough time that he will come back if they really need his vote. In which McCain was being treated at Walter Reid National Military medical center and was diagnosed with gliblastoma, an agressive malignant brain tumor that causes seizures, headaches, blurred vision and many other symptoms. His daughter was tweeting about family holiday plans and thanking all people who said kind words to her father to feel better. Senator John missed several senate votes, voted for initial version of tax bill, including sweeping tax cuts, passed senate with 51 botes, and the Republican leaders can pass the final version but since it's in the House-senate negotiations can't afford any more defections. Which the bar is set high to pass the legislation and they feared that two other people couldn't vote even through they wanted to pass the legislation. McCain has a good spirit is doing very well from his recovery and someone said he remains one of the toughest man on the earth. The issue here is both good and bad because even through McCain couldn't get his vote in, it did help a little bit to stop the voting somewhat and their is a chance the government and Trump doesn't need to wait for McCain to get his vote. Which the president and the others Republicans did need another vote in order to pass the bill for tax but their is ninety percent they can pass this legislation quick and simple. How can Trump and Republicans get the legislation to pass without John McCain vote?

South Africa's New Leader

Over the past week, there has been talk of the election for the new leader of South America, monitored by the ANC( African National Congress). It is Africa's democratic political party and it has won every election since Nelson Mandela's election. This election will be seen as the most important election in the country. The previous leader, Jacob Zuma, is forced to step down as president. Many have felt that he was involved with a corrupt relationship with the Guptas, a wealthy Indian family, and facing prospect on 18 charges. There has been opposition to remove him as president and he was defeated. However, his leave of absence can spark negative effects in the political party. The election can cause political infighting and may has led assumptions to the party to split. It has even said the ANC will be at a crossroads because of this event. The new presidential candidates will be  Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa. The winner of this election will decide the leadership and fate of South Africa. Do you think the situation will become better due to receiving a new president and do you think something else should be done about this situation?

Trump strikes again with Jerusalem

One may ask why Lebanon has broke out in protests due to Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel capital, since this decision directly affects Palestine. Well for one Lebanon has over 500,000 Palestine refugees who would be devastated to hear that Jerusalem won't be recognized as their capital after for it for so long. This decision  has produced major backlash around the world. North Korea (our enemy) has denounced President's Trumps's decision as "Reckless wicked Act". Indonesia a predominantly Muslim country had 10,000 people protest outside of the American Embassy "It was the third and largest demonstration in their country against the Jerusalem decision by Mr.Trump.
This decision has had a ripple effect across the world. Arab nations extremists groups like the Taliban and  even our allies here have denounced the decision. Do you believe that this could cause another long war?   https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/10/world/middleeast/lebanon-protest-trump-jerusalem.html?rref=collection%2Fsectioncollection%2Fpolitics&action=click&contentCollection=politics&region=stream&module=stream_unit&version=latest&contentPlacement=7&pgtype=sectionfront

Donald Trump is totally not worried about Michael Flynn's guilty plea

President Donald Trump wants you to know one thing about former national security adviser Michael Flynn's guilty plea for lying to the FBI about his contacts with the Russians during the 2016 campaign: He's not worried about it. Not at all. Zero percent. Nada. Zilch. How do we know that? Because Trump just keeps telling us.
Since Flynn's guilty plea on Friday morning, Trump has tapped out double-digit tweets making clear that Flynn's decision to cooperate with special counsel Bob Mueller's investigation has no impact on him and, oh yeah, the FBI is super corrupt and bad. Also, the Russia investigation is a hoax. And Hillary Clinton got off easy. The media is bad and dishonest too.
It all started Saturday morning with this tweet -- that Trump attorney John Dowd now claims he wrote: "I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!"The obvious problem here for Trump -- if that tweet is taken as accurate -- is that the day after he fired Flynn, he reportedly asked then FBI Director James Comey to see if he could find a way to "letting this go," meaning the bureau's investigation into Flynn. If you take Trump/Dowd's tweet literally, then Trump did so while knowing that Flynn had lied to the FBI.
The first strain of this next Trump Twitter tornado was the "Why aren't we talking about Clinton?" narrative.
"So General Flynn lies to the FBI and his life is destroyed, while Crooked Hillary Clinton, on that now famous FBI holiday 'interrogation' with no swearing in and no recording, lies many times...and nothing happens to her?" Trump tweeted. "Rigged system, or just a double standard?"He followed that one up with this: "Many people in our Country are asking what the 'Justice' Department is going to do about the fact that totally Crooked Hillary, AFTER receiving a subpoena from the United States Congress, deleted and 'acid washed' 33,000 Emails? No justice!"."Congratulations to @ABC News for suspending Brian Ross for his horrendously inaccurate and dishonest report on the Russia, Russia, Russia Witch Hunt," tweeted Trump. "More Networks and 'papers' should do the same with their Fake News!"
This fake news thing is going out of hand. Its mostly him just trying to redirect some of the blame on to some or something else. in this case he is worried because of the links that Flynn provided. He uses the Hilary situation just to deflect most of the blame and not make him self look guilty. Trying to cover his tracks and making the media less credible and saying its fake news is the best way he knows how.

Net Neutrality Showdown

The internet plays a large if not significant role in our everyday lives. We use it in so many different ways, some to study for tests, talk to someone in another country, look up information, or even just to watch their favorite show online. All of these are done for free due to the free access of these platforms through the internet. Even though its been prospering for a number of years since the internet was first created there have been those who have attempted to control such freedom just for their own personal gain. Some of the people are large corporate companies seeking the large amount of revenue from such a successful source have hidden their agenda through soft words stating that by controlling the internet and making consumers pay for certain websites is a way to help keep the consumer safe and with the largest amount of freedom. Although it can be argued that this is true, it comes into question of how can you give more freedom to something that is already free. The F.C.C. and other Comcast companies have all begun to take steps in controlling the internet and changing the internet from how we know it.

Net Neutrality was created so that companies would be prevented from treating those who pay for more exclusive content being treated better than those who have not spent money on the site. For example it prevents AT&T from charging a fee to companies that want to stream high-definition videos to people. It even shelters those who are just creating websites and can't afford to pay for fast line access. Large internet giants such as Google, AT&T, Charter, Microsoft, etc. have turned the innovative and promising into into a field of large corporate giants fighting against smaller and medium sized businesses. A letter sent to the F.C.C.head Ajit Pai, the one who drafted the net neutrality repeal order, more than 200 start-ups argued this week that the order “would put small and medium-sized businesses at a disadvantage and prevent innovative new ones from even getting off the ground.” And that this would in fact have the opposite effect of wanted people to use the internet more. The internet's once flexible nature is now seemingly coming to an end. With only a few weeks left till Congress makes the decision we can still change the results. If net neutrality is ended how much will this impact the world at large and its many consumers, will there be a massive drop in users or still a steady stream? I personally believe that we are seeing the end to a once glorious source.

Lybian Slaves

Video footage of Lybians being sold off at auctions has surfaced and shocked the world. The leaders of Lybia, France, Germany, and Niger have come together and formed a plan to evacuate migrants from Lybia. One of the reasons Lybia is having this issue is because these auctioneers are taking advantage of the fact that Lybia is a main transit point for refugees trying to reach Europe.
It is ridiculous that in 2017 slavery is starting to arise. People are just trying to make it to a better place for better living conditions or job opportunities etc., and they’re being sold into slavery. Do you think this issue is getting the recognition it deserves? The U.S. tends to get involved with a lot of foreign affairs, but will they jump in this time to save these poor people?

Mexico’s Housing Debacle

Mexico’s Housing Debacle

In mexico their are a lot of slum house and nothing has been done to change their living environment. These are people that work just as hard as us and should be living in a area that is up to date neighborhoods not a wreck and destroyed environment. The government was working with private developers to help developer a better place for Mexicans like what reporter Richard Marosi states  new "Global investors — the World Bank, big foundations, Wall Street firms — poured billions of dollars into the effort." This would be great progress for us to help change a person's future with the way they live  but we have to think about the aftermath of this of how people will live after this. I think that we can't because of the problems that we are facing even if that something is needed to change with the amount of money being use so why did the government put such a misleading idea in people head that they will help them. This is a major issue because how would you feel if you had to live in a place like this and you had to live in conditions like this "Homeowners toting buckets scrounge for water delivered by trucks. Gutters run with raw sewage from burst pipes. Streets sink, sidewalks crumble, and broken-down water treatment plants rust. In some developments, blackouts hit for days at a time."(R.Moarosi) Do you think that the government will play a big role in this situation with the devastation Mexicans are going through or will they give false hope ?

President Trump and his Chosen colleagues

In recent news President Trump has shown support for Roy S. Moore, who is running for seat in the Senate. This is something Trump have been doing strong even knowing Mr. Moore is in a sexually harassment scandal. Many woman came front and still are coming forward on how Mr. Moore harassed them and is a sexually predator. Trump does support Mr. Moore talking on how he has a voice as well and if he denies it, it counts for something. As Trump supports him more and more further evidence came out that shows Mr. Moore true intent.  Access Hollywood has a tape that shows Mr. Moore as gloating about grabbing a women's genitalia and it was proven to be true. Question, what does this say about President Trump and what does it have to do with the government ? In my opinion I believe this can effect the government a lot. With a man who heavily seems to enjoy touching women with or without permission in a position of power like the Senate what other people may follow cause of him. Along side having the President what other people like Mr. Moore may get into power due to connections with men like so. In conclusion I believe Mr. Moore shouldn't get and position in the Senate and President Trump shouldn't be supporting a man like this. Trump as president has a connection his the Senate and could sway some of the people which in this case wouldn't be good?

Gun Ownership Requirements Require Change

How people receive guns has been a problem that the US constantly overlooks everyday. People that acquire these guns require to go through a background check to make sure that these people are mentally sound to have a gun in their possession. It seems as though these checks either aren’t being given or these checks are not asking the right questions. The state of Pennsylvania believed this to be true as they recently decided to change their laws and procedures on these background checks. The Pennsylvania Instant Checks Systems (PICS) is one of if not the best checking system in the country and the country believes it needs to be the model for how to obtain guns. Obtaining a firearm isn’t something that just anybody should be able to do and they carry out that belief very well. They do such a good job that the government provides 2 million dollars in federal money to the program.
I believe that this system holds the key to future gun laws in America. PICS believes that not just anyone should be able to obtain a gun and I believe this is the right type of system. Recently there has been a lot of high profile gun accidents in our country and with better background checks we can stop future attacks from happening. For example, the attack in Las Vegas, Nevada. So many questions can be asked in this instance. How did this man attain so many firearms? Who sold them to him? What psychologically went wrong for him to do this? Was he fit to even have a gun? As you can see tons of questions can be asked, but these questions could’ve been prevented if he was given a proper background check. Do you believe that there needs to be a change to our background checks or even our second amendment as a whole?

China's leader proposed the question to share global leadership with United States

The most Powerful leader in china Mr.Xi Jinping  wants to share global leadership with the United States. In the previous administration Obama has declined the offer from china, due to the reason that they worried that it implies that; an American retreat in Asia has to happen. Mr. Xi who is seen as thee most powerful leader in china in decades  may find it easy that Trump will be easy to sway into this idea of sharing global leadership. even though Trump has countless stated that China is a unfair trading rival, and has also stated he will stop trade with China and everything will be American Made.As Trump  travels to China  to meet with Mr.Xi  about how they will handle North Korea's Nuclear standoff. The question of do you want to join forces will come up. How would Trump react, answer this question? will trump tell china about there trading relationship will be tighter  due to the reason that the Trump administration feels that china is exploiting America for there openness. This bring so concern to America because it raises questions What will china be able to control ? What power will they hold in our politics? What will happen to our military? Will our wealth be shared ? How will it effect you ?

Muslim Americans Again Brace for Backlash After New York Attack

Umer Ahmad, a 43-year-old Muslim-American physician from New Jersey, was in his Trenton office when he heard that a rented pickup truck had deliberately driven down a bike path in Lower Manhattan, killing eight people and injuring about a dozen more.

Saipov hopped out of the truck and shouted "Allahu Akbar," or "God is great," before firing a BB or pellet gun, four senior law enforcement sources said. Law enforcement sources said he left a note in the truck claiming he committed the attack for the Islamic State terrorist group.

"From our perspective as Muslim Americans, we are just incredibly heartbroken," Nasher added. "And just thinking about the senseless blood that was spilled and thinking about the families who are now in mourning, it's difficult to even talk." Ahmad, the physician, said he worried about backlash every time an attack like Tuesday's happens. But "I feel I'm more worried about what the response from political leadership would be." he said.
I for one do not think blaming an entire group of people is the answer or appropriate response to tragedies such this one. A lot of people have this idea that most Muslims think the same way these terrorists think but in reality, it is really just a small percentage. Sure it could be hard to know if a Muslim American is a secret member of Isis, but it is not a reasonable justification for making assumptions about another person's belief. But is there an actual solution to stopping attacks involving Isis members from happening?

Texas Church Shooting

Over 20 people were killed on Sunday after a gunman walked into First Baptist Church of Sutherland springs and opened fire. CNN was told that police chased the man, and he was killed. His cause of death is unknown at the moment. Residents of Sutherland Springs were surprised that something so horrible would happen in their area. “In a phone interview on Sunday afternoon, he described Sutherland Springs as “a one-blinking-light town.”
“There is a gas station and a post office,” he said. “That’s about all there really is.”” Said Joseph Silva.
It’s sad that innocent people’s lives have to be taken so frequently.

How do you think the media will depict the shooter depending on his characteristics? (Male/Female, Black/White etc).

Hundreds Of Thousands Of Pro-Spanish Demonstrates Turn Out In Barcelona

On Sunday October 29 lots of Spaniards came together to prove they're against a independent state and for a central government's takeover of the breakway republic, they wanted leaders of a attempted secession to be punished. So when the central government took action they heard what the people was saying they immediately fired the Catalan regional President and everyone who was working to get the President want he want fired as sell. The people heard a small brief about mounting "the democratic opposition take-over" leaving everyone confused in what they heard. Then their was a showdown in which the police station was all order to take down all the portraits of puigdement, then they have to wait and see if the bureaucrats would go back to work and the doors opening up to the Catalan government and parliament.
Finally the spokesperson of the government heard someone say "if puigdement takes part in these elections he can can excercise the democratic opposition. What I think about all of this is that the Spaniards should have the right to choose whether they want a central government to takeover and not a independent state. So the government came up with an idea to have all the Spaniards vote in a election to see what they want to have in their society; which I agree they should have an election since lots of people want something to change. Would the people of Barcelona take part of this major election to get what they want? Or would they keep coming together a lot to get their ideas to be heard and not have any elections?

Puerto Rico Loco!

Puerto Rico had a chance to re store it's power when instead decided to scrap the entire $300 million contract from the whitefish energy company. In San Juan Puerto Rico the head of the governments power company had announced that they will not be taking the offer of the three million dollar contract from whitefish energy company in order to investigate the contracts validity. Although the cancellation will delay much work to be done for about 10-12 weeks. There cannot be any kind of distraction that alters the commitment to restore electrical power as soon as possible in Puerto Rico." Although the restoration of Puerto Rico's power would have been extremely beneficial to their hurricane relief efforts. The whitefish energy company was stationed in a remote area in the mountains of north Montana and have only been around for two years with only two employees until the hurricane made landfall after that they had hired more than 300 in order to help with work in Puerto Rico."We will certainly finish any work that PREPA wants us to complete and stand by our commitments knowing that we made an important contribution to the restoration of the power grid since our arrival on the island on Oct. 2." Ricardo Rosella (The governor) had stated . Even though they are being safe rather than sorry this is also a big set back in order for Puerto Rico to move forward and get back to it's full strength.  The Trump Administration had also stated that there were no political connections in this incident. Many investigations and audits are ongoing in order to get  to the bottom of the Whitefish energy company and make sure they are legit, local and federal government are both involved in this, they are even keeping tabs on the company's purchase and contracting divisions. Still about 70 percent of Puerto Rico is without power, it's been over a month after the hurricane had struck. Puerto Rico is a place where a lot of people go to spend their vacations it is somewhere amazing but seeing struggling like this is very sad and disappointing not just the people on the outside but the people of Puerto Rico as well.

Short Term Plan to Stabilize Obama Care

A Republican senator said he has reached a tentative deal with a Democratic counterpart to provide a short-term stabilization fix to Obamacare health insurance markets. It was between Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash. The deal was made five days after President Donald Trump's decision to kill billions of dollars worth of crucial Obamacare payments to insurers.
Trump's move, coupled with an executive order he signed Thursday, is widely expected to harm the Obamacare markets. It was already leading to higher premium prices for individual health plans next year. Alexander said the bipartisan deal would reinstate the cost-sharing reduction reimbursement payments to Obamacare plans for two years. However, it would have to be approved by congress.
"This agreement avoids chaos," Alexander said on the Senate floor. "I don't know a Republican or Democrat who benefits from chaos." The deal would also give states flexibility on what kinds of health plans could be sold in individual states, and would reportedly allow people over age 30 to buy less expensive and less comprehensive catastrophic health insurance plans. The deal also would allocate money for states to promote enrollment in health coverage. And it would allow for the creation of "interstate compacts" for the purchase of health coverage. Many have said that there is no guarantee that Alexander and Murray will be able to win approval for their agreement from either the rest of Congress, or from Trump. "It stabilizes the system," said Schumer. "There's a growing consensus that in the short term, we need stability in the markets." Schumer said the bill includes "anti-sabotage" provisions to counteract the "sabotaging" of Obamacare that Trump has engaged in. "This agreement would undo much of that sabotage. The deal in its current form is not close to being something that the Trump administration would accept. The administration would want much more than the flexibility being offered to individual states.  Trump says "This is a short-term deal, because we think, ultimately, block grants going to the states is going to be the answer". He was referring to the block grant system that was contained in a failed Obamacare replacement bill last month, that would have given states money directly to set up their own health coverage systems for individuals. What are your thoughts on this situation?  Do you think this plan has the potential to succeed with approval? Or do you think this plan will not be able to succeed?

FBI watched, then acted as Russian spy moved closer to Hillary

As Hillary Clinton was beginning her job as President Obama’s chief diplomat, federal agents observed that Russian spies were released in America. During 2009 to 2010 the FBI found illegal evidence. A female Russian spy posing as an American accountant so that she could get closer to Hillary and gain intelligence, later the spy was arrested and deported as she moved closer to getting inside the secretary’s department, agents said. Another pointed where spies were sent over was in October 2009 which was intercepted by the FBI in which Russian handlers instructed two of their spies specifically to gather nonpublic information on the State Department. “Send more info on current international affairs vital for R., highlight US approach,” part of the message to the spies read, using the country’s first initial to refer to Russia. “… Try to single out tidbits unknown publicly but revealed in private by sources closer to State Department, government, major think tanks.” (The Hill interview with FBI agents) Hillary seems to have been in the Russians sights even before Trump came into office and had several occasions where the spies always tried to get close enough to have enough dirt on Hillary and America. I find this extremely interesting because I for one never knew about these occurrences with Russian spies have infiltrated our political system. What is truly questionable though is if this can be traced back to present day Trump allegations with him and the Russian hackers, could it be a possible linkage or just two separate matters?

Trumps Plan on Tax Cuts

President Trump has a plan to make tax cuts. These cuts are suppose to be the biggest cuts in the history of the country. He believes that he will have enough votes for his plan to pass in Congress.  “Well, it’s going to be all growth. Look, it’s going to be growth. I think that growth can be staggering. I also think we have a lot of waste in this country. And we’ll be doing other things. We will be doing welfare reform. I mean that’s coming up,” said Trump in his interview on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. He plans to not only deal with taxes but also health care. His main claim is that there will be “growth” for the country.
What good or bad do you think will come from these tax cuts? The welfare reform? Also, Trump hasn’t stated exactly how he’s going to get all of these things done. So will something be done, or is this just another statement telling people what they want to hear?

Appeals court delays abortion for immigrant held in federal detention

A divided federal appeals court delayed final resolution of the case of a 17-year-old pregnant migrant in federal detention who is seeking an abortion, giving the Trump administration until the end of this month to find a private sponsor who can house her and will allow her to obtain the procedure. The one Democratic appointee on the panel, Judge Patricia Millett, dissented, saying that further delay of Doe’s right to have an abortion was unwarranted.
“In this context, timing profoundly matters,” she wrote, noting that at this stage of a pregnancy, each passing day can “increase the health risks associated with an abortion procedure.” By the end of the month, when Doe would be 17 weeks pregnant, she probably would no longer be able to use the abortion clinic near the shelter and would have to travel to a clinic in north Texas hundreds of miles away, Millett added.
Lawyers for the ACLU, which represents Doe, expressed disappointment with the ruling. During the hearing, lawyers noted that finding a sponsor is often a lengthy process that involves extensive vetting.
“Justice is delayed yet again for this courageous and persistent young woman. She continues to be held hostage and prevented from getting an abortion because the Trump administration disagrees with her personal decision,” Brigitte Amiri, senior staff attorney with the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, said in a statement. “We are investigating all avenues to get justice for her.”
Looking closer at this decision I find it appalling that the Trump administration is trying to tell a women what they should do with their bodies. This situation is unfair to the only person that maters in this debacle is Jane Doe. I see it as its here body she can use it any way she please. She has two option basically , to go home and do the abortion, or stay and have the baby. These option doesn't benefit Jane doe in the long run because she still doesn't want the baby, and the longer she waits the more dangerous the procedure is to conduct. Do you agree that the states can make the decision for females whether or not they can have  the procedure. http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-immigrant-abortion-20171020-story.html

President Trumps illness and Nuclear War

Malik Kingsberry

President Trump seems to be in line with Nuclear War, but can this be due to a mental illness he may have. A psychiatric diagnosis have shown that Trump my have malignant narcissism and this may pose a major threat to everyone. A licensed psychologist for 25 years, James Gillian, spent most of his career working with mental patients, mass murders, and serial criminals to understand brain patterns. Gillian the main psychologist has noticed some traits from his words and actions. He noticed quotes from saying Hillary needs to be imprisoned or assassinated, or threats to hit North Korea with nukes has shown them something important. These and many others have shown them signs of malignant narcissism, which have been seen in people like Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler. Some key signs seem to be bragging, paranoia, conspiracy theories, demonizing those who goes against them, exploiting and bullying.
With many of these factors in play I believe the psychologist and think Trump should be looked more into this. These signs show how Trump might rise up for a  dictatorship and seeing how Trump listens no more it seems possible. Through the election his speeches have shown different signs as when he going on about the Hillary conspiracy or exploiting immigrants and others. Also with his emotions rages how will that sit with this diagnosis. In conclusion, I have some questions do you believe Trump has malignant narcissism, if so do you believe Trump will activate the nuclear war or do you believe Trumps diagnosis will lead him to negatively effect the gov't.

Hillary Disagrees With Trump’s New Iran Policy

Ameer Clark

Recently President Trump has gone back and rescinded a deal that the U.S made with Iran back in 2015. It was a nuclear arms deal that was enforced while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State under President Barack Obama. President Trump stated that this deal was not thought out and was a “terrible” deal that should be retracted. As a rebuddle Hillary stated that it was not a terrible deal and if Trump goes through with rescinding this deal, America’s credibility will plummet. Countries across the globe will hear of this and then the U.S’s word will be about as good as nothing. Hillary believes that America needs to keep this deal and if we get rid of it America would be playing right into Iran’s hands. No matter how he looks at it, Trump strongly believes that the U.S needs to “toughen” up what America is asking from Iran in order for the deal to be acceptable.

I agree with that Hillary is saying because the U.S needs to be credible if anything. The United States of America is always in the middle of some other country’s foreign affairs so that means that America’s word is bond (as some New Yorkers say). Also, America has a lot of treaties with other countries which means that we have tons of relationships we need to keep strong and in check. If we take this deal back then Iran can and probably will make it a public thing and now all of the countries that we have treaties with will realize that America isn’t who they say they are and there is no longer a reason for this treaty because first chance they get, America will go back on their word. In conclusion I believe that in order to keep our relationship strong not only in Iran but the whole world, this deal needs to continue and cannot be rescinded or “toughened” like Trump plans on making it.

Trump speaks on Iran violating nuclear agreement and threatens to pull out of deal

On Friday 13th President Trump talk about the problem in Iran about them violating their nuclear agreement with his own opinion on how the U.S should strengthen the rules on the Iran nuclear program. He stats that "I am directing my administration to work closely with Congress and our allies to address the deal's many serious flaws so that the Iranian regime can never threaten the world with nuclear weapons." In the article it show him taking the problem in to his own hands like in a way of a tyrant without the congress approval or  there consideration. This could lead to more conflicts that will be out of our control and we want to avoid trouble. Also it says""In the event we are not able to reach a solution working with Congress and our allies, then the agreement will be terminated. It is under continuous review and our participation can be canceled by me as President at any time." So if the plan doesn't go to his liking them then its a done deal.
In my opinion President Trump is being a bit dramatic on terminating the Iran program but I can see where he going with it to protect us from threats if Iran turns on us but we cant assume that but I also agree that at least strengthening or pay more attention to what Iran is doing. If he goes through with this plan this could lead us to be on bad terms with other countries if we quick to shut down things if they look bad without trying to fix the problem first hand. Also the article says " Iran had "failed to meet our expectations in its operations of advanced centrifuges," and "intimidated" international inspectors into not using their full authority. He also accused the Obama administration of lifting sanctions on Iran under the terms of the deal at a moment when the Iranian clerical regime was about to collapse, an assessment that contradicts the views of many experts. He also ordered US intelligence agencies to mount a new assessment of Iran's compliance." Trump is trying to keep us safe but the way he does things or says things make him wrong in some ways.
Do you agree with Trump's plan to stop Iran nuclear program or do you think he should have gone another way of handling it? Also would this beneficial to the U.S if we would follow this act and cancel their program and do think he should have the power to do so?

Trump and health care

President Trump has been on everybody’s radar lately, including the national government itself, and not on a good note. As expected, he continues to act erratically. According to An article on the “Washington Post” created by Amy Goldstein, “After threatening for months to end billions of dollars in payments promised to health insurers, President Trump finally dropped the ax with timing that could inflict maximal disruption on the affordable healthcare act enrollment season scheduled to begin in two weeks.” This seems like an abuse of power, but there must be more to it. Why would a president, a man in which is supposed to do what he can to BETTER the country and the people do so much to bring them down ?What good does taking away money from health care do but cause turmoil and disruption the economy ? This makes many parties worried and government struggle because this takes away from federal funds. Also, in the text it states “Officials in at least three states are now debating whether to delay the Nov. 1 start of the enrollment as they rush to consider higher premiums to make up for the abrupt loss of federal money.” This is a direct example of the negative affect President Trump is having on the nation. His petty rules and actions towards certain groups do nothing but bad for the U.S as a whole. In all, he needs to stop this before he digs us an even bigger hole we won’t get out of.

Dean from University of Chicago Ban Safe Spaces

This August, as a new school year was about to begin, the University of Chicago captured media attention with the letter it addressed to incoming first-years. The anodyne welcome letter to incoming freshmen is a college staple, but this week the University of Chicago took a different approach: It sent new students a blunt statement opposing some hallmarks of campus political correctness, drawing thousands of impassioned responses, for and against, as it caromed around cyberspace.

“Our commitment to academic freedom means that we do not support so-called trigger warnings, we do not cancel invited speakers because their topics might prove controversial, and we do not condone the creation of intellectual ‘safe spaces’ where individuals can retreat from ideas and perspectives at odds with their own,” John Ellison, dean of students, wrote to members of the class of 2020, who will arrive next month.
This was a good move for John Ellison as he realized the concept of ''safe spaces'' is a insult to the right of free speech and the entire first amendment from the constitution. Well rounded individuals heading to college should be grown enough to handle opinions and differing perspectives, not hide from a dangerous thing called an idea.

The Trump Administration has begun the denial of 800,000 young immigrants

Trump has demanded an exchange for deals to protect young undocumented immigrants also named as dreamers reach a legislative solution before beginning legalizing 800,000 young immigrant trump  insisted to start the construction of the wall across the southern border. 10,000 immigration agents was hired to make tougher laws for the people who are seeking  asylums and the detail of federal grants to sanctuary cities according to officials. The White House has demanded a use of the E-Verify program by companies in America which is to keep illegal immigrants from getting jnobsand to end people bringing in extended family into the United States which means the border and going to become strict, hard against thousands of children fleeing violence in central America. After hearing how the dreamers felt it shows how, The Trump administration is starting to deny immigrants from a better chance. After hearing from Dreamers most of them where brought to the united states at a young age and benefited from the daca program which is also being targeted by the Trump administration, also most of them the 800,000 young immigrants  Obama protected with his executive powers are now under attack by the Trump administration, my question to you is if the trump administration hears the voices of The dreamers on how America has changed their lives, how it gave them a better chance at life would. it change  Trumps mind, would it change his mind about the wall, and would it change the mind of the congress? After hearing about this it makes me feel that Trump wants to isolate America and cut out all immigrants from America when they where the ones who helped build America.

Puerto Rico's Nightmare Recovery

The people of Puerto Rico are still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Maria. Recovery has been a nightmare for many of the island's 3.4 million US citizens. This situation has had some ups and downs. People with access to drinking water is 45 percent and those without are at 50% The death toll is at 16. Many people are without power. Only 5% of people were given electricity.   721 of 1,100 Gasoline stations have opened. 295 of 456 supermarkets have opened but some victims are still out of food. 11 Staging areas across the island for food, water and other supplies and 139 Shelters  are open. It has been tough and many people are suffering. Eyleen Gonzalez, who has lived in puerto rico all her life, has said "I don't want to live here anymore", without hesitation. FEMA( Federal Emergency Management Agency) has been helping but people are still having long waits to get the basic necessities of food and water from FEMA. Lines have stretched for blocks for gasoline, bare shelves in the grocery stores, no frozen goods, no milk, no ice, and can goods are being rationed out. Some people have driven 90 miles to get to another grocery store for food. FEMA has said 2.5 Liters of water and 2 million meals have been delivered but there are 275 refrigerated containers of food and supplies still held up at ports. Nothing is being done with those containers at the moment when more of those containers should be sent as possible. The people of Puerto Rico are struggling and the containers are just taking up space when they should be doing some good to others. Do you think more attention to this situation will cause a change in productivity and give FEMA more of a reason to start helping more?

Referendum Pandemonium

Article Naseer Ansari-

An independence referendum entered into chaos this Sunday when police blocked the entrance to a school that was being used as a polling station for the Catalan independence referendum. Police and citizens turned extremely violent in order to seize ballot boxes to stop them from voting(with more than 750 civilians injured and at least a dozen soanish police officers hurt as well). The prime minister of Mariano Rajoy had  addressed the people that same day and had this to say “Today, the Spanish state has lost a lot more than it had already lost, and Catalan citizens have won a lot more than they had won until now." Many citizens and pro-referendum supporters were camping and staying at different polling stations in order to ensure they would not close and were people at the front lines of the riots.
Many pro-referendum supporters had even begun protests including one that blocked a gate to one of the polling stations that the police were trying to seize. This referendum was something that many of the Catalan citizens were anticipating especially since their  dictatorship had ended with the death of dictator Gen.Francisco Franco in 1975 and they were ready to start anew. This had an impact on other parts of Barcelona the well adored soccer team (F.C Barcelona) had to play a game behind closed doors because of this incident. Many different citizens like Mario Pulpillo (age 54) agree with the referendum and said "Spain has shown us today its ugliest and darkest face, that which we really thought had disappeared 40 years ago, You simply can’t use violence against people who just want to vote.” Despite all the commotion and chaos there was still an impactful turnout of people who still had hope that they could make catalonia a place that everyone can be free to make their own decisions. On this day Catalonia was changed forever but is it for the better or worse?

White House expands travel ban, restricting visitors from eight countries

The Trump administration announced new restrictions Sunday on visitors from eight countries — an expansion of the pre-existing travel ban that has spurred fierce legal debates over security, immigration and discrimination.
In announcing the new rules, officials said they are meant to be both tough and targeted. The move comes on the day the key portion of President Trump’s travel ban, one which bars the issuance of visas to citizens of six majority-Muslim countries, was due to expire.
“As president, I must act to protect the security and interests of the United States and its people,” Trump wrote in a proclamation announcing the changes for visitors from specific nations. On Twitter, he added: “Making America Safe is my number one priority. We will not admit those into our country we cannot safely vet.” White House expands travel ban, restricting visitors from eight countries
The new travel ban represents the third version offered by the Trump administration.
Three new nations were added to the list of countries whose citizens will face the restrictions: Chad, North Korea and Venezuela — although the restrictions on Venezuela are narrowly crafted, targeting that country’s leadership and their family members.
One country, Sudan, fell off the travel ban list issued at the beginning of the year. Senior administration officials said a review of Sudan’s cooperation with the U.S. government on national security and information-sharing showed it was appropriate to remove them from the list.
The new restrictions will be phased in over time, officials said, and the restrictions will not affect anyone who already holds a U.S. visa. For those visitors affected by the changed restrictions, the new rules will go into effect Oct. 18, according to the proclamation.
Critics of the administration have argued that the travel bans are an unconstitutional attempt to deliver on Trump’s campaign promise of “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States.” Administration officials deny any of the bans were aimed at Muslims, saying they are based on security concerns about visitors from countries with failing or weak government “ The restrictions either previously or now were never, ever  based on race, religion or creed,’’ one senior administration official said. “Those governments are simply not compliant with our basic security requirements.”
The original version, signed as an executive order in January, blocked citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries — Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, Yemen and Syria .

This decision by Trump come to no surprise because of the direction his administration is going were they're addressing the none documented citizens in the united states. Trump is saying that it has nothing to do with race but the treat at witch there country poses to the united states .That could be questioned on the different things that Trump has said over the past couple of month in office .This could be a personal agenda that he is renewing .The signing of this bill should be unconstitutional because of the restrictions it has on some people because of there religious beliefs and where there from.

Police shooting an Oklahoma deaf man

On a Tuesday evening an incident occurred where officers fatally shot a deaf man as the neighbors shorted that he couldn't hear their commands telling him to drop the pipe he was holding. The pipe Magdiel Sanchez, 35, was carrying had been fashioned into a fairly large weapon, Oklahoma Police Chief Billy Citty said at the press conference. It was tied around how wrist disabling Sanchez from letting it go out of his hands when in use. Officers were acting off of information given to officers about a green truck allegedly involved in an accident, after Lt. Matthew Lindsey arrived at the location and found a green truck matching the description. Sanchez advanced to the front yard holding what Matthews said was the pipe. Matthew called for backup which then another officer, Sgt. Christopher Barnes, arrived both proceeded to shouting to Sanchez to drop the weapon, even though the neighbors were yelling at them telling the officers that Sanchez was deaf. But unable to hear the neighbors the officers continued to shout. As Sanchez continued towards the officers Matthew shit his stun gun first and Barnes followed shooting Sanchez with his gun. After Sanchez received medical attention he was pronounced dead. Sanchez's neighbors were devastated saying that, “Sanchez didn't deserve to die like that” and that Sanchez would “always” carry around that pipe mainly to shoo away the stray dogs that roamed the neighborhood.

This action by the police officers were both brash and precautionary. Whole it can be said that what the officers did was wrong it can also be said that it was purely based on protocol and just not being able to understand Sanchez's sign language. This event is happening at a time where police officers in general do not have the best look with civilians, minorities in particular. By doing this the Oklahoma Police Dept may begin to face massive criticism which may result in a change of how the police do things. In a situation such as this what are the officers supposed to do if they can't understand the suspect while they are in possession of a weapon and not following the orders which are being given to them? Things like this are tragic but are also unavoidable since you can't entirely be prepared for every situation. But even if situations like this were to happen I do believe that the officers should at least be held accountable for his actions, be it as it may even when he has limited options to choose from while in the moment.

The Clock Is Ticking on DACA...

Link

Donald Trump's White House announced last Tuesday it would put an end to former President Barack Obama's executive order, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA is a protection that allowed children of undocumented immigrants to get a temporary reprieve from deportation and to receive permission to work, study and obtain driver's licenses. DACA recipients have to prove they arrived in the US before the age of 16, have a clean criminal record and must be currently in school, working or in the military. DACA recipients have to pay close to $500 in fees and must renew their permits every two years. There has been a surging rush to renew permits before the October 5th deadline. This fast approaching deadline along with the recent hurricanes in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida have put many in a bind. Joshua Hoyt, executive director of the National Partnership for New Americans, a coalition of organizations providing legal services to immigrants says that they are receiving over 5,000 applications per day. Lawyers, advocates and volunteers are helping as many as possible with applications where one mistake could cause an application to be rejected.  Many are urging the White House to extend the Oct. 5 deadline to give applicants a chance to raise money to pay the renewal fees (almost $76 million if all those who are eligible apply). Advocates also point out that the natural disasters of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma could cause many to miss the deadline. If the deadline stays intact and/or if Congress does not act, thousands will lose their status as documented (legal) immigrants as well as legal jobs, health insurance, and other benefits. Congress is being pushed to create a more comprehensive immigration policy but if some sort of compromise is not met soon, DACA recipients will lose their status as soon as March 2018.

This decision by Trump was completely unnecessary. While our current immigration policy is convoluted and is in dire need of change, this move came at a time when much of the administration is under fire for "Russia-gate", it's ties to white supremacists, and it's inability to get meaningful legislation passed.  By ending former President Obama's executive action, thousands of productive, law abiding US residents will face deportation. It is no fault of these DACA recipients that their parents are undocumented and/or they were not born here. Many came at a young age and have known no other country except the US. Where are all these people supposed to get deported to? Many people think that this only impacts people that are Hispanic but this affects many people from the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. The last time major immigration policy was passed was in 1986, so it is unlikely that our current Congress will be able to hash out an immigration plan before the deadline. This is an interesting situation in that when former President Obama created DACA, he realized that it was a "band aid" to the immigration issue and that he, as president, shouldn't have to create policy (as that is the job of Congress).  In this I agree, but as Congress is just coming back into session and the fact that there are other more pressing issues facing this country, I do not believe that this administration's intent was benevolent. The current president argues that DACA was an overstep of executive power and that it should be up to Congress to make immigration policy. So what do you think? Should the executive branch be able to create legislation when Congress does not? What should happen if Congress cannot come up with legislation? How do you feel about DACA?

Christian-Backed School Teaches Scions of The Elite in Atheist North Korea

America has had tension with the United States for decades. This article only further shows how serious this tension is, and how it hinders any future relationships. The article shows us the roots of this hatred and the problems that it creates. In North Korea there is a school where the teachers are american and not atheist. These teachers are forced to follow certain rules, and are not allowed to teach or enforce any religion. Although the teachers follow these guidelines, it does not stop conflict from surfacing. In the past month, two teachers were arrested and deported because of hostile acts. They were accused of breaking the rules and teaching religion. One of the teachers was seen showing a student a bible. The other was a Christian pastor.I believe that Americans should stay out of North Korea. The article mentions that there was no actual evidence that these teachers were violating any rules on campus. I believe that because North Koreans feel threatened by their presence, they were deported. In the article, it says that the students say that they are taught to fear and hate american people. Yet, as they got to know their teachers, they realized that they hate our government and not us. However, we should not step foot in a country where we are hated. Their government is teaching its people what they want to. Therefore we should attempt to teach religion to them, especially an atheist country. This country is not in any position to accept change. Although there are Americans that enter Korea with good intentions, our conflict prevents people from seeing past the hatred. Instead they accuse us of being spies and deport us whenever they feel we have violated their laws. Maybe there should be a policy created that will prevent people from traveling to those countries. It would not be a solution to our problems, but it will prevent Americans from suffering at the hands of the Korean government.Do you feel there should be a policy that prevents travel to countries with increased tension? Do You think we should continue to travel to this country with hopes that they will change their views and opinions?

Freed Chibok girls reunited with families

Freed Chibok girls reunited with families

82 Chinok school girls were released by Boko Haram and reunited with their families on Saturday. The former captives are now ages 18-21. They are believed to have been among the 276 pupils forced from their beds by Boko Haram militants in the middle of the night. This happened April 2014. The kidnapping from the Chibok school sparked global outrage and the social media movement #BringBackOurGirls. The nigerian government had to make negotiations to retrieve the girls who were abducted from their school. 5 Top commanders have been released in exchange for some of the girls. I think this is an issue that we as a country should get involved in and try to help the Nigerian community to get their girls back.  The military is acting as a tyrant and using forceful and negative tactics to get what they want. Donald Trump should send troops to alleviate the problem there and sign treaties that can help further our relations between other African countries. What do you think should be done?

Trumps new attitude

In the article, it speaks about trumps latest visit to Saudi, Arabia while he was over there he seemed to be a different man. Someone who knows what their doing. He spoke to many leaders over there and told them what was the issue that he believed and what needs to be done. During his visit he spoke in a decent manner. This shows everything that has been happening obviously was part of a plan Trump had. Many people wouldn't have expected that four months into his term President Donald Trump would find himself addressing a room of Muslim leaders .In a major address Sunday to the leaders of 50 nations where Islam is the predominant faith, Trump veered closer than ever to the establishment views of American influence abroad, a sharp and jarring break for a man whose campaign was built upon uncensored language about America's security and role in the world.

"I stand before you as a representative of the American people to deliver a message of friendship and hope and love," Trump said. "Our vision is one of peace, security and prosperity in this region and all throughout the world. Our goal is a coalition of nations who share the aim of stamping out extremism and providing our children a hopeful future that does honor to God." - these words spoke out to me. It changed my view on him not because it sounds right but because he shows a level of maturity that i did not have for him. What do you feel about trumps efforts to bring peace to muslim countries? Does your view on him change in anyway ? What  do you think
made him change?

Saudi Arabia to Invest $20 Billion in Infrastructure, Mostly in U.S.

This article had my attention because as i was reading it said that a company that goes by the name of blackstone was the one that worked with them first so that they can help out with the infrastructure in the us. Now the first surprise was that Trump was supporting them, because he has a problem with terrorist and hes big on racial discrimination. Then as i kept on reading, it stated that trump line up 110 million dollars in arms deals. This is one thing that has been turned into another. Trump is planning something big if he has to spend that much money on an arms deal. We are at a time where we must fear what his next steps are because the decisions hes making looks like he is trying to start another war. What are you guys views on this article ?

Trump, Shouting ‘Death Spiral,’ Has Nudged Affordable Care Act Downward

This all started with a tweet from Trump yelling out "Death Spiral" after the announcement of pulling pout the affordable care act. Trump later goes on to say how  “Obamacare continues to fail.” on twitter as a response to hearing about  Humana announced plans to leave all the health law’s marketplaces next year. This article then talks about the Trump administration and its refusal to guarantee payment of subsidies to health insurance companies. I feel like the trump administration  should come up with a way to improve health care especially with all the trash being talked about Obamacare. The administration’s refusal to guarantee payment of subsidies to health insurance companies, the murky outlook for the Affordable Care Act in Congress and doubts about enforcement of the mandate for most people to have insurance are driving up insurance prices for 2018, insurers say in rate requests filed with state officials. With whats going on with today's health care system it would be nice if our government could have a plan to keep the poor healthy and so that the rich wont be the only ones benefiting from our new health care system being implemented.  what do you think about whats going on with the trump administration an d our new health care? is it good bad can it be fixed? what will be the end game?

Senators push Trump not to choose a political figure to head FBI

Trump has had a rough first 100 days of his presidency. He just doesn't know how to take the media's attention off of him. All he does is add on to the issues that he causes by himself. This past week he fired the FBI director. This had sparked many questions and made people think that there was a reason why he would do such a thing out of the blue. One reason people believe that the FBI director was fired because he was the one that is investigating the story behind russia interfering with the election. I feel that trump should be wise about who he places in the position of FBI director. I feel that if he places somebody with credentials that doesn't live up to that position the media will come up with all these theories and reasons why he did that. Also I feel that the Democrats are asking great questions when they talk about what was the reason for doing that. Democrats should definitely try and challenge who he try to appoint. Knowing trump he will probably try to appoint someone that has 0 experience. Why do you guys think Trump fired the FBI agent? Should the new FBI director have lots of experience ? Or do you feel that it's appropriate to have a airhead in that place of power?

Help Wanted Sign Posted outside FBI headquarters?

If you're in the market for a new job and want a change of pace a look no further then the united states federal bureau of investigation. After the removal of former director Comey the spot has now been opened up for a new Trump nominee. As with previous Trump nominees the new director for the FBI is expected to be rejected by the Democratic party, but it has less to do with the nomination itself. The democratic senate party refuses to vote on a Republican nominee until an independent investigator is appointed to look in to the presidents and his associates ties to Russian affiliates. The recent news of cyber attacks and the results of the election has put Russia on the radar of many government officials. The reasoning behind this would be to prevent the president from placing a ally in a high position of authority within the justice system to ensure no more investigations are made surrounding the results of the elections, but these are just rumors and speculation. So far our possible nominees  include two former FBI agents, a former Texas judge who is now a senator, a Michigan republican senator and a former appeals court judge during the Bush administration from New York all of whom are viable candidates for the position. What I found concerning about this article is the almost uncalled for firing of Comey and the response we got from the U.S ambassador who said that Trump is the president "The president is the CEO and can fire whoever he wants". Not only is it suspicious that Comey was fired like this but the mindset that Trump is the CEO to just another one of his businesses is disturbing. America is our home, our land and property, our government is not just a board of directors sitting around trying to come up with ways to fill their pockets and take out their opponents they are the trusted officials who we elected to be our representatives and the keeping order and upholding justice while protecting our liberties. America is not just another business for Trump to make money which is what Nixon tried to do  with the Watergate scandal. What is our opinion on the whole situation and how much trust do you have for Trump?https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-administration-races-to-fill-fbi-job-amid-democrats-resistance-1494804820

For Cuomo’s Free-Tuition Plan, Lessons From Tennessee

In this article it talks about the plans that Cuomo has for free tuition. It begins by speaking on how Tennessee basically started the whole trend with making college more affordable/ free when they made it so that all community colleges had free tuition. Specifically it says "a speaker came to her school to talk about a new state program, Tennessee Promise, that would pay the tuition for all students at the state’s community colleges ... Her journey is an increasingly familiar one in Tennessee, and one that a growing number of states are trying to replicate with programs that pay tuition, usually at the community college level, for a broad number of students." It then goes on to mention New York's version of what Tennessee was doing-the excelsior scholarship-and briefly mentions how its different. Basically while the excelsior scholarship is geared towards free tuition for "middle class students", Tennessee is just making all the community colleges tuition-free for all students there. The article then goes on to give some of the already-present after effects of what Tennessee is doing. In the article it says "For the past two years, Tennessee has led the nation in Fafsa applications. Seventy percent of high school seniors there fill one out, 13 percentage points higher than New York, according to federal Department of Education figures. The number of Tennessee students applying for federal loans, meanwhile, dropped by 17 percent in 2015, said Joni E. Finney, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, who was a co-author of a report in April analyzing higher education in Tennessee." My question for you guys is do you think that New York should follow Tennessee's lead and just make community college tuition free? The article also mentioned the fact that while, as a whole, college enrollment went up, it still went down for four year institutions because more and more people were just going to two year community colleges since it offered free tuition. This could potentially cause people to want to work after instead of just pursuing their bachelors degree in one go. What do you feel would be the most optimal and realistic pathway towards raising the education level of New York citizens as a whole?

Republicans Are Messing With A Major Source of Jobs

This article speaks about how the new health care bill will affect jobs in America. In the article it states how Obamacare provided more funding into healthcare. With more funding more jobs were able to be created for those who could provide that health care. This means doctors, nurses, or any other healthcare providers had more jobs created for them. Under the Obamacare or the Affordable Health Care Act people were able to make up to approximately $56,000 a year. With this new healthcare bill funding will be cut by $60 billion which means so will the income of those health care providers. Not only will the salaries of the workers decrease but if there is less funding then companies won't be able to hire as much so there will be less jobs and less working people able to help with the health of those who need it. This was an issue that was stated in the article about the dive in employment in some areas if there is less funding to healthcare. Personally I think this will completely blow up in the Republicans face. It seems as though this bill is hurting people who need affordable health care a lot. If you aren't someone who is rich and can pay for their own personal doctors and nurses then you won't be helped as well under this bill. It makes no sense that something as basic as the health of the people is in jeopardy. I think once this is officially passed we will have to wait and see how hard it hits the public. Hopefully it doesn't have the impact that people are saying it will but what do you guys think about this new health care bill? What are your opinions on Trumps new act or Trumpcare?

On eve of fired Justice Department official's testimony, Trump tweets about Russia inquiry Laura King

President Trump went to Twitter on Sunday to criticize the scope and nature of investigations into Russian interfering within the U.S. presidential election back in 2016.Trump’s Sunday tweet did not mention former Deputy Attorney General Sally Q. Yates name or have mentioned to her scheduled testimony on Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee. But Trump being Trump  he is repeatedly between constant ongoing congressional and FBI probes of potential collusion between his campaign and Russia, Trump says that investigative attention, and media reports, were misdirected and should be appointed to more important matters. Yates, was serving at the as acting attorney general, until she was fired by Trump at the end of January for refusing to defend Trumps travel ban in court which she has every right and the power too, and it remains under legal challenge for not supporting freedom of religion. She is expected to be questioned by senators about her warnings to the White House in January regarding the then-national security advisor, Michael Flynn. Flynn was fired for misleading Vice President Mike Pence and others about his contacts with the Russian ambassador, there is  caution that Flynn could have left himself vulnerable to Russian blackmail by making untrue statements and his firing.  Flynn’s dismissal came was after the Washington Post reported that he had misled Pence about what discussions in his phone calls with the Russian envoy. Trump has tried to misguide attention from him and his possible ties between Moscow and his campaign, in March, he accused former President Barack Obama of having his wires tapped at Trump Tower. Intelligence officials and congressional investigators have said there is no evidence to support that claim.

This has to do with AP Gov because this is similar to Nixon and the Watergate situation. I hope the government contines to investigate and find that Russia played a role in his election because that would make him look like a president worse than he actually is, and I hope that the punishment leads to his impeachment and the vice president too because it looks like he fired Flynn to cut loose ends. What do you think of the situation? Do you think Trump receivedaid from russia? What should the punishment be if he did? http://www.latimes.com/politics/washington/la-na-essential-washington-updates-on-eve-of-fired-justice-official-s-1494159676-htmlstory.html
